What You Should Know
- IntelliTrac IPT1
is designed as a Consumer Tracking Device. It is not recommended for commercial
purposes.
- IntelliTrac IPT1
only sends GPS Latitude and Longitude information via SMS when the user pressed
the SOS Button.
- You may obtain
the IPT1 current position by sending a “GetLocation Command” via SMS to the IPT1 via
a mobile phone.
The IPT1 will reply by a return SMS containing GPS Latitude
and Longitude Position. You must then access the GPS MAPS
menu on the IntelliTrac
Website(www.intellitrac.com.au)
to plot the position.
- You May Log into
IntelliTrac Website and Track Online for a period of 12 months after which an annual
fee of $120|
(subject to CPI Increases) will be due to extend the service for a further
12 months.
- IntelliTrac IPT1
does not provide any fleet management reporting or security features
- IntelliTrac IPT1
is not recommended for use in critical situations involving life support or human
life.
- You are liable
for the correct use of this product, including the breach of any privacy issues
- You are responsible
for providing a GSM SMS, GPRS and Voice enabled sim card for the IPT1 Device
- You are liable
for all and any GSM costs resulting in providing a GPS tracking service, directly
with the telecommunication carrier
of your choice
- You are responsible
for selecting the correct Mobile phone plan with your telecommunications provider
- Incorrect or faulty
use may result in excessive Mobile Phone Costs

will only function correctly in GSM/GPRS Network Coverage Areas
- IntelliTrac IPT1
is pre programmed to accept the Mobile Phone Carrier of your choice

will only report real time positions in areas covered by the GSM/GPRS Network

SUPER IMPORTANT NOTE:
GPRS Communications required by this device. Under normal conditions and tracking
parameters as
defined above, the device will use approximately 5MB of data per month.
However due to repeated position requests, excessive driving
hours,
multiple ignition on off status and/or incorrect wiring, the device may exceed
5MB of data per month. It is important that you
discuss possible fees and
charges related with GPRS usage with your mobile phone carrier. IntelliTrac
accepts no responsibility for
this device usage exceeding the average 5MB per month.
When negotiating GPRS plans with your preferred Telecommunications
provider it is
important that all data is billed in 1KB blocks at the end of each GPRS Session
and is not subject to any session
connection fees.
Selecting the wrong GPRS Plan will result in excessive Mobile Costs.
